President
John is the Founder and President of Syncra Construction, guiding the company’s vision and fostering a collaborative, team-focused culture. With over 30 years of construction experience in the local market, he brings deep insight into industry trends and client needs. John remains actively involved in all areas of the business, supporting project teams and driving successful outcomes.
Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President at Syncra Construction, Marc provides executive-level support that strengthens project teams and drives successful outcomes. With over 30 years of experience as an engineer and construction project manager, Marc has led a wide range of developments including industrial facilities, luxury high-rise condominiums, mixed-use complexes, and hotels. His broad expertise allows him to identify potential risks early and implement effective solutions. Marc also plays a key role in developing and refining the systems that support Syncra’s operational excellence.
VP, Projects
Peter brings almost 40 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked in various senior roles managing the operations side of the business. He has a strong business acumen and a passion for growth, getting results, and building strong client and trade relationships. Peter’s extensive knowledge and commitment to excellence make him a key leader in driving success on every project he oversees.
Project Director
Neil is a seasoned construction professional whose experience spans high-rise concrete, residential wood-frame, and institutional builds improvements. Neil is known for his hands-on leadership, technical expertise, and ability to deliver complex projects on time and to the highest standards. His consistent success with repeat clients reflects his commitment to customer service excellence and quality execution. Neil’s collaborative approach and deep industry knowledge make him a trusted leader within Syncra and a valued partner to clients.
Project Director
Craig is a seasoned construction professional with 29 years of experience leading projects across both local and international markets. Known for his strong communication and negotiation skills, he consistently delivers high-quality results through strategic planning, collaboration, and accountability. Craig’s expertise spans the full project lifecycle, including pre-construction planning, cost management, contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination. His proven ability to manage complex deliverables from inception to completion makes him a trusted leader in the industry.
General Superintendent
With 40 years of experience in the industry, Paul has worked on a variety of projects in the agricultural, commercial, industrial, health care, institutional and residential sectors across the country. Paul provides leadership and guidance to all of Syncra’s site teams and guarantees the same standards of quality and success are met on every project.
Safety Manager
Graeme Fraser is a dedicated construction professional with a strong focus on workplace safety and team leadership, Graeme plays an important role in ensuring that Syncra’s employees and trade partners are operating at the highest level of safety compliance. At Syncra, Graeme is actively involved in developing and implementing safety programs, site-specific procedures, and compliance initiatives that support both workers and project success. He is passionate about fostering a culture of safety and collaboration on site, ensuring every team member has the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.
Customer Care Manager
Matthew is a Red Seal Certified professional and a skilled leader of the Customer Care Department at Syncra. With a strong background in construction supervision and deep industry knowledge, he has successfully built and led a department focused on evolving Syncra’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs. His commitment to excellence drives efficient deficiency coordination, seamless homeowner walk-throughs, and proactive management of both short- and long-term post-construction concerns.
Senior Purchasing Manager
James is a seasoned procurement professional with over 15 years of experience in supply chain and procurement across diverse industries, including more than seven years in real estate and construction. He holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia and the SCMP designation from Supply Chain Canada. James brings strategic insight, operational efficiency, and a deep understanding of procurement best practices to every project he supports.
Director, Preconstruction
Devery Jacobs leads Syncra’s Preconstruction Department with a deep understanding of the development and construction process, shaped by over two decades of hands-on experience. Her background spans both the developer and general contractor sides, giving her a unique ability to align project vision with practical execution. Devery has played a key role in delivering complex, multi-phase projects, including multi-tower residential sites and large-scale, master-planned communities. Known for her proactive and collaborative approach, she builds strong relationships with consultants, trade partners, and clients, ensuring each project is positioned for success from day one.
Preconstruction Project Manager
Charlie is Syncra’s Preconstruction Project Manager with more than 20 years of industry experience and has been a key part of the Syncra team for 17 years. His deep experience and attention to detail leave a lasting impact on every project during the critical preconstruction phase. Charlie’s thoughtful approach and commitment to excellence help set each project up for success from the very beginning. Charlie is a LEED AP and obtained a B.Eng in civil engineering from McMaster University.
Marketing, Branding & Communications
Mitchel oversees Marketing, Branding, and Communications at Syncra Construction. He is involved in everything from leading key events to managing proposals, playing an essential role in shaping and maintaining the Syncra brand. With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University, Mitchel brings valuable experience from his background in the development side of the industry, providing a deep understanding of the clients’ needs.
Corporate Accountant
Tracy is a CPA and UBC Accounting graduate with over two decades of experience in finance and project accounting. After six years in public accounting with PwC and Deloitte in Hong Kong, she transitioned into the construction industry in 2011. She brings strong financial reporting and analysis skills, excels in cash management and forecasting, and is a collaborative team player committed to improving processes and driving efficiency.
Human Resources Manager
Kate is Syncra’s Human Resources Manager, playing a key role in supporting the company’s people and culture. She oversees all aspects of HR, including employee relations, compliance, hiring, and onboarding. Known for her steady presence and thoughtful approach, Kate helps foster a positive and supportive workplace environment, contributing to the success and growth of the team.
